Early Career
Pepe Martí’s passion for motorsport began at an early age in Sabadell, Spain. Inspired by his idol Fernando Alonso, Martí entered competitive karting in late 2016 at the age of 11. He rapidly surged through the Spanish karting ranks, earning a spot with Tony Kart before claiming the Spanish Karting Championship in the Junior category in 2019
Managed by A14 Management, a driver development group co-founded by Fernando Alonso, Martí started his single-seater career in 2021, finishing third in the F4 Spanish Championship and as the runner-up in the Formula Regional Asian Championship before stepping onto the Formula 1 support bill in FIA Formula 3 in 2022.
After claiming three wins and four podiums in his second F3 season, Pepe graduated to FIA Formula 2 for 2024 and has since added four wins and eight podiums to his name before making the move to the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Formula E | 2025-26
Joining CUPRA KIRO, Marti lined up alongside Dan Ticktum for the 2025/26 Formula E season. His first race in the championship ended prematurely and in dramatic fashion following a high-speed accident during a Full Course Yellow period. The Spanish rookie, who was putting together an impressive drive and charging toward a top-five finish, collided with the back of da Costa’s car, sending his CUPRA KIRO machine airborne and flipping it twice before it landed upside down on the track.
Learning from the incident, Marti then went from strength to strength quickly establishing himself as one of the grid's premier young talents. His season featured five top-ten finishes, highlighted by a historic third-place in Monaco, making him the first Spanish driver to earn a Formula E podium, and a second-place result in Sanya.
For the 2026/27 Formula E season - the first of the GEN4 era - Martí continues with CUPRA KIRO.
